FOR STOCK TRADERS: When building a multi-monitor system, I either recommend going for all 22" or all 24" as your default monitors, and maybe a main 27" or 32" as your main monitor. For most people buying their first stock trading computer, I always recommend to build it using only 22" monitors. 22" monitors are a great size for stock trading and never missing a chart or movement, or for a quicker scan of multiple stocks without having to strain your eyes to see patterns. Most of the time they have the same resolution as 23, 24 and even some 27" monitors (1920 x 1080 pixels) but they take less space. So they are perfect if you have a bit less space in your office

NOTE: For best results, make sure that the monitors have a small bezel (the borders around the monitors) so that when you use them in a multi-monitor environment you won't have big, thick, black bezels between your applications.

NOTE: Lastly, if you're planning to build a multiple monitors computers, the monitors might need a VESA mount so you can put them in a grid pattern on after market monitor stands. VESA mounts are holes pre-drilled behind the monitor used to mount to a monitor stand.

WHY THESE?: There are a LOT of 22" monitors, but from my experience these are the best, most popular, best rated monitors out there. I've always had great experience with Dell monitors, which is why they're the ones I recommend the most on this site: they have top quality, very low price, highly rated by thousands of happy customers (check the reviews on amazon.com).

ONLY $ 109.99

Size: 21.5"
Inputs: 1x HDMI, 1x VGA, 1x DVI
VESA Mounts: 100mm

This monitor has the important VESA standard along with 3 possible inputs: HDMI, DVI & VGA. Having a monitor with lots of connectors choices will save your life often since most cheap multi-monitors video cards come with these 3 connectors so you won't have to buy extra adapters!

NOTE: for stock trading, you can pretty much buy any cheap monitor with at least a 1920x1080 resolution and VESA mounts. The main differences between cheap and high end monitors are: color gamut (for graphic designers or gamers, mostly) and refresh rates (for gamers). There are of course other differences but none that the average user would notice and make the extra money paid worthwhile.

Great monitor from a company known in the computer industry for making high quality, no-compromise, fair-priced products: ASUS. This monitor is great for its price and the fact that you have the choice among the 3 most common connectors (HDMI, DVI, VGA) AND they have included a DVI and a VGA cable. Most monitors usually only include 1 cable, so if you update your videocard, you might have to buy new cables. Click here for more details on this product >>
